Brightview Hunt Valley, currently under construction, was designed using Brightview Senior Living’s green building design standards and is pursuing LEED Certification. This new community will include a 173kW rooftop array that consists of 361 solar PV panels and generates 15% of the building’s electricity needs directly from the sun each year. That is equivalent to creating almost 200 acres of U.S. forests annually! Other sustainability highlights include native plantings to protect biodiversity and local ecosystems, green roofs and bioretention for enhanced storm water management, natural daylight and views, community gardens, and EV charging stations. This community is also easily walkable, located in the heart of the Hunt Valley Town Centre and steps from the BWI Airport/Glen Burnie-Hunt Valley light rail station. The Brightview Hunt Valley Welcome Center opened in summer 2023, and this community will be ready for residents to enjoy a sustainable and healthy lifestyle in summer 2024.
