Brightview Senior Living holds top-two ranking for six consecutive years
Brightview Senior Living, a leader in senior living that builds, owns, and operates 47 senior living communities along the East Coast, is thrilled to announce its placement as Number 2 on the Fortune Best Workplaces for Aging Services™ 2024 list. This is Brightview’s sixth year on the list, placing first or second on the list all six years. The Best Workplaces in Aging Services award is based on an analysis of survey responses from more than 181,000 current employees in the aging services industry. In that survey, 85 percent of Brightview employees who responded to the survey said the company is a great place to work, compared with 57 percent of employees in a typical U.S.-based company.
“We are thrilled to once again be recognized as one of the Fortune Best Workplaces in Aging Services,” said Doug Dollenberg, President & CEO of Brightview Senior Living. “With a sixth straight year of recognition, we see that our people-first culture and commitment to growing our associates are a winning combination, resulting in excellent service for residents and families. This award is one that’s equally shared among our 6000 associates and celebrates their dedication to enriching our vibrant communities.”
Brightview achieved top honors because of direct employee survey feedback:
- 91% When you join the company, you are made to feel welcome.
- 90% I feel good about the ways we contribute to the community.
- 90% People celebrate special events around here.
- 88% My work has special meaning: this is not “just a job.”
To determine the Best Workplaces in Aging Services™ list, Great Place To Work analyzes the survey responses of over 181,000 employees from Great Place To Work-Certified™ companies in the aging services industry. The survey enables employees to share confidential quantitative and qualitative feedback about their organization’s culture by responding to 60 statements on a five-point scale and answering two open-ended questions. Collectively, these statements describe a great employee experience, defined by high levels of trust, respect, credibility, fairness, pride, and camaraderie. In addition, companies provide organizational data like size, location, industry, demographics, roles, and levels.
