Brightview Sayville was designed and constructed using Brightview’s Green Building Design Standards in 2020. The design and construction team utilized a previously development site for this new development, which helped to conserve natural resources and create a healthier environment. A drought resistant blend of grasses was used in lawn areas to reduce outdoor water usage and a wildflower meadow was used to further reduce the need for irrigation. The community features open green spaces and walking paths to promote connection with the outdoors and native plantings to reduce water needs and promote biodiversity. Other sustainable features include natural daylight and views throughout spaces for outdoor connection, individual climate controls for resident comfort, community gardens, recycling programs, and educational signage throughout.
