At this year's Argentum Senior Living Executive Conference, Andi Walsh was honored with a 2024 Hero Award. The Argentum Hero Best of the Best Awards honor employees who exemplify excellence, compassion, and dedication across the senior living industry.
Andi originally came to Brightview Westminster Ridge in 2018 as a Vibrant Living Director before transitioning to Wellspring Village Director about a year later. Under Andi's charge, Brightview Westminster Ridge's Wellspring Village has had some of the highest resident and family satisfaction scores across all of Brightview. Andi was also recognized as a 2023 Brightview Caregiver Coach of the Year at the annual Brightview Awards Gala.
Her colleagues consistently cite Andi's patience, curiosity, and tenderness as key themes contributing to her success. Andi is always engaging with families and residents and slows down to meet each person wherever they are in their dementia journey. She always makes time to do what is needed. Andi is also a certified First Degree Reiki Practitioner after becoming aware of the benefits of Reiki for those living with dementia. She believes that caring for a person's soul is fundamental to their overall health and well-being. Andi leads by example and mentors her team. She encourages them to problem solve, work through disputes and challenges with respect for each other, and offers constructive criticism with the end goal of success for both residents and associates.
