David Carliner - Executive Vice President
David Carliner, Executive Vice President of Development, is responsible for creating the canvas upon which Brightview can create vibrant senior living communities. With a focus on continual innovation, his team identifies new markets and sites for Brightview communities, forecasts financial viability for those communities, and coordinates the planning and construction process. Understanding that senior living residents are more interested in choice than ever, David and the entire Development team continue to redefine the typical offerings of a Brightview community. David will remain in his current position through 2025; after which, his role will be assumed by Steve Marker. David will remain an owner of the company, serve as an advisor, invest in our Funds and be active with the other Brightview partners and senior leadership in major decisions about new communities and other important issues. Although a developer’s primary focus is on buildings, David believes in Brightview’s philosophy that putting people first is the key to the company’s success. He puts a strong emphasis on remaining an employer of choice and mentoring the talented Brightview team.
Outside of his work with Brightview, David currently serves on the Jewish Community Services Advisory Council and the board of Tribute Home Care. Prior to joining the company in 2002, David 44 oversaw facility development at Meridian Healthcare. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Connecticut College, a Master’s degree in Health Service Administration from the George Washington University, and a J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law.
