Brightview Commons Welcomes First Residents

South Kingstown, RI - Monday, Charles and Pat Weitzel had lots of unpacking to do, as well as to direct the movers on where to place their furniture in their spacious new apartment at Brightview Commons, the states first true Independent and Assisted Living community to open here. Smiling and efficient staff members kept things moving smoothly for the Weitzels along with three other 'first residents' who also moved into the luxurious independent living community.

New residents arrived with hired movers in tow and were greeted by Brightview staff and made their first walk through the threshold through an entry way of balloons to hail the first residents! As residents walked through the serene living room, sun room and spacious café and dining rooms, "their eyes said it all" commented Kim Dunn, Community Relations Director - we kept hearing repeatedly 'magnificent', 'beautiful', 'so much to take in'. . every single person was in awe of how wonderful this community truly is, added Dunn..

"They'll shape the community and give it its unique flavor, added Executive Director Maureen Mc Namara, "All (fourteen) Brightview community's are noted for their vibrancy, continued McNamara, and I can see already that Brightview Commons will have plenty of vibrancy, judging by our first residents."

The Weitzels agree. While dining on a delicious gourmet dinner at their first official meal as residents, the glowing couple exclaimed, "Everyone makes us feel like royalty!"

"Get used to it!" replied McNamara.

Residents of both Independent Living and Assisted Living can look forward to educational and recreational programs, wellness activities, trips, delicious meals, housekeeping, and a myriad of other services and amenities designed to give them enhanced, carefree living for years to come.
